On your radar: Mummies of the World opens at MOSI, and comedian Christian Finnegan performs in Tampa

Mummies of the World opens: The traveling exhibit involves 21 museums worldwide, making it the largest exhibit of human and animal mummies ever assembled. Runs through Sept. 3 at Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa. $18.95, $16.95 seniors, $12.95 ages 2–12; $5 additional each MOSI exhibits or IMAX; mosi.org.

Christian Finnegan: The comedian — seen on Best Week Ever and Chappelle's Show is on the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet? He performs at 8 and at 10:30 p.m at Improv Comedy Theater in Tampa. $15–$17. (813) 864-4000.

Blast Friday: The free street celebration features music by '70s radio kings Firefall (You Are The Woman, Just Remember I Love You) at 5:30 p.m. in Clearwater's Cleveland Street District.

Florida Orchestra: A Musical Feast: James Tocco performs Eduard Franck's Piano Concerto No. 1, plus overtures from Weber, Wagner and Nicolai, at 8 p.m. at the Straz Center in Tampa. $15–$45.
