On your radar: Rays fashion show, ska music in Hyde Park, Cheer Sticks at the Trop

Tampa Bay Rays: Cheer sticks are waiting for the first 10,000 kids at today's game against the Cincinnati Reds at 12:10 p.m. at Tropicana Field.

Hyde Park Music Series: This free monthly concert series returns with the Shakes Society, Tampa's long-running alt-rock-turned-ska-turned-party-music outfit, to get you over Hump Day. Proceeds from drink sales benefit the Quantum Leap Farm charity. 6:30 p.m., Community Health Education Center, 740 S Village Circle, Tampa. Free.

Island Night with Impulse: This 23-year-old tradition at Skipper's Smokehouse continues with the Impulse band playing island, reggae and Afrobeat tunes under the stars. It's $5, with specials on Red Stripe beer. 8 p.m., 910 Skipper Road, Tampa; (813) 977-6474

Kids and family

Meet author Michalla Bolton: The gymnastics coach and author of the children's book Harold the Duck Learns to Fly, will read from the book she designed to provide children with encouragement and positive reinforcement. There will also be crafts and other book-related activities at 3 p.m., Bayside Gymnastics and Cheerleading, 4400 34th St. N, St. Petersburg.

To watch

Season finale, The Voice, 8 p.m., NBC: After weeks and weeks of hard-fought competition, America will finally get a break from all those slow-mo promo spots of Blake Shelton and Cee-Lo Green.

Series premiere, Love in the Wild, 10 p.m., NBC: Ten single dudes and 10 single ladies are dumped into a jungle to compete in arduous, Survivor-like tasks. Love can blossom this way. As can dengue fever.

Season premiere, Melissa & Joey, 8 p.m., ABC Family: It's part Blossom (Joey Lawrence), part Clarissa Explains It All (Melissa Joan Hart) and part Who's the Boss (pretty much the same powerful woman-male nanny plot).

Series premiere, State of Georgia, 8:30 p.m., ABC Family: Raven-Symone plays an aspiring actor named Georgia — and she probably still aspires to act someday.
