Things to do Things to Do
 Today's TipSheet

On your radar: See lots of beautiful art, catch 'The Daily Show's' Jon Stewart in person or support an independently owned record store

Mainsail Arts Festival: With more than 250 artists, there will be so many beautiful things to see, including a gorgeous view of Tampa Bay. It's Saturday and Sunday in St. Petersburg's Vinoy Park; mainsailartsfestival.org.

Chaz Bono: The transgender son of Cher and Sonny Bono and Dancing With the Stars alum will give a free talk Tuesday at USF in Tampa. USF students get priority seating at 7:30 p.m.

Tax Day: It's typically April 15, but that fell on Sunday this year. But it's not today either, because it's Emancipation Day (celebrated in Washington, D.C.). So you have until midnight Tuesday to file your taxes. But you already have those done anyway, right?

Record Store Day: Independently owned record stores roll out special releases and promotions to celebrate the art of music Saturday. Check recordstoreday.com for local stores, including Bananas Music in St. Petersburg and Mojo Books and Music in Tampa.

Date night

Bern's Winefest: The top-notch wine extravaganza kicks off at Sidebern's in Tampa with the Gala Winemaker Dinner ($300) on Friday. Then revisit 1920s Ybor at the Saturday Soiree ($115), and choose from 200 wines paired with treats at the Grand Tasting ($145) on Sunday; bernswinefest.com. Another wine event is new this year, Los Vinos de Dalí, with local food and boutique wine, plus gallery tours, Sunday at the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg. $75. (727) 823-3767.

Music fests: The Fun 'n Sun festival offers up Rick Springfield on Saturday and Ronnie Dunn, of Brooks & Dunn fame, on Sunday in Clearwater's Coachman Park. Free admission; $20–$30 reserved; myq105.com. Also on Saturday is the Erase Hate Festival in Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa, with Brandi Carlile. Free.

Jon Stewart: Let's face it, considering Florida is such a vital target for the The Daily Show, Jon Stewart will be practically bursting with glee at his two shows Saturday (7 and 9:30 p.m.) at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. $72. (727) 791-7400.

13 Ugly Men White Party: It's where all the beautiful people will be Saturday, and for a good cause: homeless children. It's $29 for women, $49 for men at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel; www.13uglymen.com.

Kids and family

Bark at the Ball Park: Sunday is Earth Day, so celebrate outdoors with your furry buddy as the Clearwater Threshers take on the Dunedin Blue Jays at Bright House Field in Clearwater. Plus, you can run around the bases. $5–$9.50 humans, $5 dogs. (727) 467-4457
