On your radar: Slaughter hits the Hard Rock, party with some Playmates, pursue 'snappiness' with Michael Rabbe or check out Hyde Park Music Series

Slaughter: The heavy metal band formed in 1988 at the height of the glam-hair metal era is giving a standing-room-only show to launch the return of the Hard Rock@Nite entertainment series. It's 10 p.m. at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. $25.

Playboy Playmate Party: Seagram's 7 and Playboy join up for a party that includes a meet and greet with Miss January 2010 Jaime Edmondson and Miss July 2002 Lauren Anderson. Edmondson, who was born in nearby Polk County, also is a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, alum of The Amazing Race and featured in Trace Adkins' This Ain't No Love Song music video. It's free admission, with bunny servers, two free Seagram's drinks, live music, dancing and photos with the Playmates at 10 p.m. All at the Venue, 2675 Ulmerton Road, St. Petersburg. Free.

Pursuit of Snappiness: Cabaret crooner and jazz pianist Michael Raabe will guide you toward your inner "snappiness" with his take on show tunes, jazz standards and everything from Sondheim to ABBA and ZZ Top. Show is 7 p.m. at freeFall Theatre, 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $15.

Hyde Park Music Series: Get a free show the last Wednesday of the month, with beverage sales tonight helping the Gasparilla International Film Festival. Parking is free, and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome to hear Dan McMillion's High Octane. It's 6:30 p.m. at 740 S Village Circle, Tampa. Free.

$5 Admission to Glazer Children's Museum: If you haven't been to the Glazer Children's Museum, now is the time. In recognition of its first birthday, the museum has lowered the admission price to $5 through Friday. The museum is at 110 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa.
