On your radar: Standup comedy in Tampa, a '80s hit singer-songwriter in Clearwater and rock + punk + reggae = one band in St. Pete

Harland Williams: A scene stealer in a string of comedies, from the gullible state trooper in Dumb and Dumber to the hitchhiking serial killer in There's Something About Mary. John Waite: The English singer-songwriter is probably best known for '80s hit Missing You, but he also found success with pop/rock super group Bad English (When I See You Smile). He performs with Jackie Bristow, a New Zealand-born songbird, at 7:30 p.m. at Capitol Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater. $35–$49. (727) 791-7400.

The Supervillains: The four-piece band from St. Cloud combines a little rock and a bit of punk into a reggae beat at 8 p.m. at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg. $5. (727) 565-0551.

Screen on the Green Raiders of the Lost Ark: Maybe Indy can whip the weather into shape. This new outdoor family event shows movies and short animations in downtown Tampa.
