On your radar: Strawberries take the stage, Curtis Hixon Park gets rocked, 'Funny Girl' opens and Jeff Ross gets irreverent

Florida Strawberry Festival: Plant City kicks off its annual festival, with sweet berry concoctions and an even sweeter music lineup. Today see the Oak Ridge Boys at 3:30 p.m. and Gretchen Wilson at 7:30 p.m. (both $15–$20). Festival starts 10 a.m. at 303 N Lemon St., Plant City. Admission: $10, $5 kids, children under 5 free.

Rock the Park: Levek, the Florida Kilos, Hundred Waters and Brooklyn singer-songwriter Christopher Paul Stelling perform. Free. At the Glazer Children's Museum, adults can listen from the third-floor terrace for $20 per person (includes drink tickets and hors d'oeuvres). Music starts at 6:30 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa.

Funny Girl: It's opening night for this Eight O'Clock Theatre show that chronicles the tale of Fanny Brice's rise to fame. Includes powerhouse songs like Don't Rain on My Parade at 8 p.m. at Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive, Largo. $25, $12 students. (727) 587-6793.

Jeff Ross: Ross is feared and revered for his appearances at celebrity roasts. We're told this show will be a straight standup set with no special roast format, but either way, we're sure he won't have trouble coming up with material about Florida at 7:30 p.m. at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Tampa. $27.50–$37.50. (813) 229-7827.

USF Lecture Series: With Matisyahu: The Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter is a Hasidic Jew who performs raps about Judaism over reggae beats. Arrive early; USF students get priority seating at 7:30 p.m. Doors open to the public at 7:45, lecture is at 8 p.m. at the University of South Florida Marshall Student Center in Tampa. Free. (813) 974-1001.

Date night

Nude Nite: Look for sensual art, burlesque performances, live art by body painters, games and strolling characters at this 21-and-older event in an industrial warehouse. It's at 6 p.m. at 3606 Fourth Ave., Tampa. $20. (321) 229-8110; (NSFW).

To watch

Parks and Recreation, 8:30 p.m., NBC: It doesn't look good for Leslie's re-election chances when Paul Rudd has a big-name campaign manager and Rob Lowe has people looking for her replacement.
