Kris Kristofferson: The actor has never been one to boast about his sandpaper voice, but his songwriting is legendary (Me and Bobby McGee). A rare bay area show is 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Tampa Theatre. $39.50 and $49.50. (813) 274-8982.

Florida Orchestra: Start off with John Adams' Doctor Atomic Symphony, with its pervasive fear about the atomic bomb, followed by Anton Bruckner's Symphony No. 4, with its lush, romantic melodies.
