AMC Best Picture Showcase
Haven't had a chance to see Slumdog Millionaire — or any of the best picture nominees for that matter?
Reserve Saturday for a day at the movies, and we do mean day. AMC theaters are showing all five best picture nominees back to back beginning at 10:30 a.m. Admission is $30, $25 for AMC MovieWatchers members (and because you'll need something to sustain you, the admission price includes a large popcorn and free refills all day).

Participating theaters include Veterans 24, 9302 Anderson Road, Tampa, and Regency 20, 2496 W Brandon Blvd., Brandon. Information: (813) 243-4881 or amctheatres.com.
Oscar Night America
Don't just watch the beautiful people on the red carpet Sunday night, be one of them at Oscar Night America at Tampa Theatre.
You'll take a limo ride around the block and make a grand entrance, strolling along the red carpet complete with screaming fans and paparazzi. And be sure to dress the part: Suggested attire is "Hollywood elegant or black tie."
The event, which is sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is a fundraiser for the theater at 711 Franklin St., Tampa.
VIP tickets ($130, $125 for Tampa Theatre members) include a reception with champagne, beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres starting at 6 p.m. VIP ticket holders also receive an official Academy Awards program and a bag of goodies.
A general admission ticket ($30, $25 for Tampa Theatre members) also includes the red carpet experience, but comes with popcorn, soda and coffee. General admission begins at 7:30 p.m. and is followed by a big-screen showing of the awards show live at 8.
