Marina tour: To celebrate National Marina Day, the Clearwater Municipal Marina will host an open house from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at 25 Causeway Blvd. featuring boat tours, demonstrations, special offers, and free hot dogs and pasta while they last. Call (727) 462-6954.

Back to school: Free school physicals and school supplies will be offered from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Missouri Ave., Largo. The event also includes clowns, face painting and a Bayflight helicopter landing. Spanish translators will be available. Call (727) 585-9969.

Author to speak: Retired Army Reserve Col. Jeffrey Freeman will answer questions and discuss his latest novel, Wrong Enemy, Wrong War, from 1-3 p.m. at Book Bank USA, 10500 Ulmerton Road, Largo. To reserve a seat call (727) 588-0474.

Support the team: The Largo High School football program will hold a fundraiser from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the Publix at 10411 Ulmerton Road. Donations will support the team during the next season.

Wellness event: The North Greenwood "Back 2 School & Wellness Fest" will take place 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at North Greenwood Recreation & Aquatic Center, 900 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., Clearwater and includes free wellness exams, school supplies, food and entertainment. Sidewalk sale: Merchants throughout the city of Tarpon Springs, including shops in the historic downtown district and Sponge Docks, will host a monthly sidewalk sale and open house 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the second Saturday of each month, rain or shine. Call Sue at (727) 937-6109 or visit

Car wash: Clearwater's Friendship United Methodist Church is sponsoring a youth car wash 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday in the Arby's parking lot, 1920 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., Clearwater. Call (727) 447-1822.

Opera DVD: The Pinellas Opera League will show the DVD Dinorah, Giacomo Meyerbeer's pastoral opera based on a Bretan folk tale, at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Leepa Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs. Free. Call (727) 784-9512.
