$5 Day at the Zoo Everyone gets into Lowry Park Zoo for $5 on Sunday. They do this a couple times a year, and you better get there early, because you're not the only one who thinks this is an awesome deal. Wear breathable clothes and water shoes so you can cool off in the zoo's splash zone when the heat gets too tough. The zoo is open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1101 W Sligh Ave., Tampa.
