Ribfest lineup: Heart, Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy and more

The hard-rocking sisters of Heart have been added to the music lineup for Ribfest, to be held Nov. 9-11 in Vinoy Park. Also taking the stage will be Jonny Lang, Buddy Guy, Connor Christian and Southern Gothic, Matt Stillwell, Colt Ford and Montgomery Gentry. Advance ticket sales begin Oct. 1 at all Rally Food Stores and online at www.ribfest.org. Tickets are $16 in advance, $20 day of. Children 12 and under free. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, right, are the creative spark behind Heart, a hard-rock group that initially found success in the mid '70s, and seem to have a "comeback" every decade. It helps that we are still crazy on them. A new edition this year is the Ribfest Marketplace, a kind of trade show for any vendors to show products for festivalgoers who have time to kill between music and munching. — Sharon Kennedy Wynne
