When an artist postpones a show, sometimes they blame illness or "schedule conflicts" or "an invitation to perform at the White House." Whatever. So we have to admire Sarah Brightman's candor. According to her website, the operatic diva has postponed her Feb. 24 show at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, as well as the rest of her North American tour dates, until next fall "to coincide with the timing of her international album release plan," in the words of a press release. The English classical crossover soprano and operatic pop singer is famous for a vocal range of more than three octaves. "Whilst I regret any inconvenience that this rescheduling might have occasioned for those people who have already bought tickets, the restructuring of my worldwide album release plan made it inevitable," Brightman said in a statement. Brightman's new date in Tampa is Oct. 6. Tickets sold for the new show should be honored at the new one; we'll let you know if we hear otherwise.
