Sunday's best pre- and postgame Super Bowl parties

The Game Day After Party

What it is: Of all the postgame parties, this might be the one to catch. Organizers say — win or lose — members of the Steelers and Cardinals will be there. We'll see about that.

When and where: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Floyd's inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Tampa.

Who will be there: Hosts and guests include Ray Lewis, Mike Alstott, Playmate Courtney Culkin and DJs Sizzahandz, Mad Linx and Chris Craze. But the biggest draws (if they show) might be the Steelers' Max Starks and Darnell Stapleton, or the Cardinals' Gerald Hayes, Karlos Dansby and Victor Hobson. (Be warned, this is a dress-to-impress event, so ditch the jerseys.)

Can you get in? Yes. Tickets are $50 at General admission may be available at the door.

What else? In general, the Hard Rock will be a good place to hang out after the Super Bowl, or even on Monday morning. A number of celebs will stay there, and you might spot them playing one final hand of blackjack or checking out at the front desk. — Jay Cridlin

NFL Tailgate Party

What it is: Invitation-only affair thrown by the NFL before the game.

When and where: Noon outside Raymond James Stadium.

Who will be there? John Legend and Journey will perform. T-Pain will join Legend on stage for a performance of Green Light. Faith Hill will perform a Super Bowl version of her Sunday Night Football theme Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.

Can you get in? Only if you're one of the 10,000 or so corporate sponsors, media partners and friends of the NFL who are on the guest list.

What else? Al Roker will be interviewing celebrities in and around RayJay. Among those scheduled to appear live or on video: Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Kevin James, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Vin Diesel, Hayden Panettiere and Rainn Wilson. — Jay Cridlin

Bentley of Tampa Bay Players After Party

What it is: A postgame party hosted by former Buc Greg Spires. You can watch the game and enjoy food from Hip Hop Soda Shop.

When and where: It runs from 9 p.m. until closing at Mirage, 3605 W Hillsborough Ave.

Who will be there: DJ Kid Capri will man the decks, but beyond that, the outlook is murky. The list of "invited guests" is impressive — Kanye West, Michael Phelps, Alicia Keys, Kimbo Slice — but we're skeptical they'll show.

Can you get in? Yes. VIP tickets start at $150; general admission tickets will be available at the door (prices will vary).

What else? It's worth visiting this party's Web site, if only to read the exhaustive 36-question FAQ that includes questions like, "Can I bring my dog?" (no) and "Are there strippers at Mirage?" ("There will not be any strippers, but who knows what happens in the private areas?") Get more at — Jay Cridlin

Trick Daddy's Official Super Bowl Post-Game Celebrity Party

2009 Legends All-Star Super Bowl After Party

What it is: A postgame bash with a dynamic duo: Dennis Rodman and Lawrence Taylor. Be afraid ... be very afraid.

When and where: 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Empire, 1902 E Seventh Ave., Ybor City.

Who will be there? The flier lists a slew of big-name "invited guests," from Barry Sanders and Franco Harris to new Ray Pat Burrell and "Jeremy Shocky (sic)." You can probably expect playmates and pinups, though. Get more info at

Can you get in? Yes. Tickets are $100-$250 at

What else? The Worm will also get his freak on at Friday's Jocks that Rock party at Pasco County's Caliente nudist resort. And, lest we forget, back in 1998, Taylor was busted at the Sandpiper Resort in St. Pete Beach for purchasing and possessing crack cocaine. "As far as I'm concerned," Taylor said in 1999, "St. Pete is over with. I don't plan on going back that way anyway unless I'm going to play golf." Well, at least now we know why he's partying in Tampa. — Jay Cridlin
