Western dance: Brookridge Social Dance will host a Western-style dance from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the clubhouse, 8151 Hampton St. Music will be provided by the Just Us Duo. Nunsense in drag: The Show Palace Dinner Theatre will present the original Nunsense with all the characters portrayed by men matinees and evenings today through Sept. 13 at the theater, 16128 U.S. 19, Hudson. Historical river tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Crystal River Preserve State Park on Sailboat Avenue, off U.S. 19 and State Park Street, in Crystal River. Narrated tours to the mouth of Crystal River are 11/2 hours long. Visitors can enjoy the scenery and wildlife while learning why and how native people came to dwell along Crystal River. Look ahead

Brooksville Bandshell Bash: Up in the Air will play classic rock from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 at Hernando Park, 205 E Fort Dade Ave. The free family event will include the Brooksville Cruise-In, an antique and hot rod car and motorcycle show. Food and beverages will be available. (352) 754-4788.

Dinner with a beat: Vic Thompkins & VTO will offer music of the '60s, '70s and '80s at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at Clover Leaf Farms, 900 N Broad St., Brooksville, with a meal of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and drinks. Tickets are $15. Call Marie at (352) 597-5155.

Curtain call

Anything Goes: Auditions for the musical will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 28 and 1 p.m. Aug. 29 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Roles are for eight women and 10 men 20 and older, plus six male and six female dancers. Singers will be asked to sing songs from the show; sheet music will be provided.
