'The Price is Right Live' coming to Ruth Eckerd on Sept. 28

Ruth Eckerd Hall will host the interactive stage show The Price Is Right Live on Sept. 28, the venue announced Tuesday.

Unlike the television version of the game show, which is hosted by Drew Carey, this unique show is for stage only and will be hosted by Todd Newton of the E! and Gameshow television networks.

Still, contestants pulled right from the audience have the chance to "come on down" and win $25,000 in cash and prizes by playing classic games — from Plinko to Cliffhangers to the Big Wheel — from television's longest running game show.

Ticket and contestant information is a little tricky, so read carefully:

• To enter theater to watch the show, a ticket purchase is required. Ticket prices range from $25 to $65. On-sale information isn't available yet.

• However, no ticket purchase is necessary if you're selected as a contestant. Potential contestants must register at the Ruth Eckerd box office up to three hours before show time.

• Contestants will be selected in a random drawing. Registration is open to U.S. legal residents, 18 years or older.

• Ticket purchase will not increase your chances of being selected to play; odds of being selected depend on number of registrants. Neither ticket purchase nor registration guarantees a spot as a show contestant.

For complete rules and regulations, including eligibility requirements, visit the Ruth Eckerd box office.
