Things to do around Tampa Bay on July 10

Taking Back Sunday: The New Jersey pop-punk group returns to the Ritz Ybor after an eventful show in 2009 that rocked so hard the overhead lights blew out. See it at 7 p.m., 1503 E Seventh Ave., Tampa; $26.

Tropical Plant Fair: Don't fight the heat, bloom with it. Find rare and unusual fruit trees and get advice from experts. It's $5; kids under 12 and members are admitted free at the University of South Florida Botanical Gardens, 12210 USF Pine Drive, Tampa. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Rays watch party: Catch some rays on the beach while watching the Rays on a giant screen on the sand behind the TradeWinds on St. Pete Beach. 620-AM WDAE will broadcast a live pregame show before the boys face the New York Yankees. The fun begins at noon, the game starts at 1:05 p.m. Parking is $10 at the Island Grand and at the neighboring Sandpiper Suites (normally $15). Coupons for $10 (normally $30) all-day slide passes will also be distributed.

Casablanca: What better place to see this classic movie than in a classic movie house? The Tampa Theatre is showing this 1942 Humphrey Bogart-Ingrid Bergman film at 3 p.m. Then hang around for a talk-back with Harriet Deer, professor emeritus of English at USF. Tampa Theatre also offers tours and a mini Mighty Wurlitzer organ concert before the film. $9, $7 for Tampa Theatre members. 711 Franklin St., Tampa. (813) 274-8982.
