Snowfest and Santa Parade: December brings holiday festivals on each side of the bay. In St. Petersburg, the day starts with the Santa Parade at Central Avenue and Fifth Street. Then, 65 tons of snow are blown into North Straub Park, with family activities like skating, toboggan rides and visits with Santa, starting at 10 a.m. at Fifth Avenue NE and Bayshore Drive. $5 wristband.
