Things to do in Tampa Bay for Dec. 10

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: It's just not Christmas without the prog-rock orchestra's winter concert spectacular, with colorful lights, electric violins and rock renditions on classic holiday themes. Shows are 3 and 8 p.m. at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. $47-$57.

Boat Parades: Thar she glows! We've got several boat parades to choose from today. In St. Petersburg there's also a holiday festival and chili cookoff starting at noon, with the boat parade in the evening. And boats will be lit in Gulfport, Clearwater's Coachman Park, Redington Shores, Treasure Island and Tarpon Springs. They all start around dusk.

Art Against Hunger Event: This live painting event in the 600 block of Central Avenue in St. Pete has more than 60 local artists. A $10 donation gets you in the running to take home one of 50 paintings. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Snowfest: A giant 20-foot snow hill, live entertainment, carnival games and visits with Santa start at 4 p.m. at Safety Harbor City Park, 940 Seventh St. S, Safety Harbor. $1 admission; $5 for unlimited rides.

Streetcar Fest: Take the kids for a fun and cheap day riding Tampa's historic streetcars for only 25 cents, Centro Ybor, 1600 E Eighth Ave. (Note: Starship Cruises is not participating this year. An item in Thursday's Weekend section was incorrect.)

Tickets for the Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concert on June 2 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa are not available at the stadium box office. Tickets can only be purchased through, or by calling toll-free 1-800-745-3000.
