Holiday Lights in the Garden: Stroll through a garden of tropical plants glowing with more than 500,000 twinkling lights, plus this year there's a laser light show and an expansion of lights into the vinery garden. Dancers and musicians are on hand each night. It runs 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo. $2, 11 and younger free. (727) 582-2100.

Bagel Menorah for Hanukkah: Hundreds of bagels will be attached to a 7-foot-tall wood frame topped with lit candles at Chabad of Clearwater's Festival of Lights celebration. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to eat the bagels. There's also latkes, dreidels, chocolate Hanukkah gelt and a performance by Dallas the Fire Guy. It's at 6 p.m. at Surf Style Mega Store, 311 S Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater Beach. Free. (727) 265-2770.

To watch

A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa, 9 p.m., CW The Muppets accidentally get three letters to St. Nick, so they spend the entire special scouring the globe for the three kids who still use snail mail.

The Mindy Project, 9:30 p.m., Fox Mindy takes her boyfriend to the office Christmas party. Because that's when you want your boyfriend to meet your coworkers, when they're all liquored up and uninhibited, flirting and mouthing off about salaries.
