Things to do in Tampa Bay for Dec. 22

Santa on the Streetcar: Cozy up for the holidays on a streetcar ride and meet up with Santa and his helper, who will be on Tampa's TECO Line Streetcar System. Starts at 1 p.m. at Centro Ybor, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Ybor City. $2.50 per ride or $5 for an all-day pass. Children 4 and under ride free. (813) 254-4278.

The Nutcracker: The Sarasota Ballet joins with Clara and company to combine the classic Christmas tale with elements from John Ringling's circus. It's at 2 and 7 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. $35, $50, $75. (727) 791-7400.

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade: Watch decorated boats motor and sail around Harbour Island and through Garrison Channel in Tampa. Best viewed from Channelside, Harbour Island and the Convention Center. Boats set sail at 6:30 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center. Free. (813) 274-8511.
