Things to do in Tampa Bay for July 12

Singin' In the Rain 60th Anniversary: The classic 1952 movie musical returns to theaters, with a videocast that includes Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne interviewing Debbie Reynolds about the film's production. See it at Hyde Park Cinebistro in Tampa, Regency 20 in Brandon, and Grove 16 in Wesley Chapel at 2 and 7 p.m.; and at Citrus Park in Tampa and Park Place 16 in Pinellas Park at 7 p.m. only. $12.50.

Chick-fil-A Invasion of the Cows: A pirate ship full of Chick-fil-A Cows will float through the streets of Tampa and Clearwater Beach, passing out free chicken biscuits and cow-themed giveaways. The festivities kick off Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day on Friday, when you can get a free meal at a Chick-fil-A if you dress like a cow. The invasion is at 8 a.m. at Lykes Gaslight Square Park, 410 Franklin St., Tampa; and at 1 p.m. at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater. Free; cowappreciationday.com.

Closetland: It's opening night for this Jobsite production of the two-person play in which a man claiming to represent the government interrogates a female author of children's fiction.
