Jim Gaffigan: The pasty comic who loves to rip on Hot Pockets in his routine performs at 7 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. $39.75, $49.75.

PechaKucha Tampa Bay: It's pronounced "peh chak cha" for the Japanese word for "chit-chat," but we prefer to think of it as a hip happy hour with deep thoughts. The forum lets creative people present new ideas starting at 7 p.m. at Studio@620 in St. Pete. $5.

Tom Green: The former MTV personality is best known for zany movie roles (Road Trip) and his notorious The Bum Bum Song. Shows are 8 and 10:30 p.m. at the Improv, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $22-$24.

Pitch for Pink: Dressed in pink jerseys, the Clearwater Threshers take on the Fort Myers Miracle. Before the game, local media personalities and sports stars (Derrick Brooks and Maurice Stovall) take on a team from the public at 4:30 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. $5-$9 at Bright House Field in Clearwater.

Three 6 Mafia: The hardcore rap and Oscar winners play at 9 p.m. at the Kennedy, 2408 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. $15-$20.

Stephen Marley: One of the most talented of the Marley offspring, he displays roots rock, blues and more at 9 p.m. at Jannus Live, 16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg. $22-$25.

KIDS AND FAMILY

Rays Watch Party at History Center: Watch Wade Davis, above, and the Tampa Bay Rays battle the Kansas City Royals on a 16-foot screen in Cotanchobee Park in front of the History Center, where there will be extended gallery hours and half-price admission from 5 to 7:30 p.m. (Tickets are normally $12, $10 seniors/students, $7 kids 4-12). First pitch is at 8:10 p.m. at 801 Old Water St., Tampa. Free.

TO WATCH

Whale Wars, 9 p.m., Animal Planet: Only one group stands between a controversial whale-killing machine and its prey: the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Swamp Loggers, 10 p.m., Discovery: Rain ruins the roads out to the site, giving us a momentary pause with which to wonder whether all this logging is worth it.
