Things to do in Tampa Bay for June 21

Millennium Dancesport Championships: Today kicks off the ballroom competition with more than 1,700 dancers, leading up to Dancing With the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff judging this weekend. Professionals lead their amateur students during the day (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), while professional couples and daytime finalists take to the floor in the evenings (8 p.m.-midnight) at the Marriott Tampa Waterside, 700 S Florida Ave., Tampa. Today's sessions: $25; evening $25-$50.

Bob Graham: The former governor and U.S. senator discusses his latest political thriller, Keys to the Kingdom, at 11:30 a.m. at the University Club, One Tampa City Center, 38th Floor, Tampa. $50. (813) 273-3616;

Pride movie night: Bring a blanket or lawn chair and your cooler full of goodies to enjoy an outdoor showing of Billy Elliot at 8:45 p.m. at Seminole Park in Kenwood, 2900 Third Ave. N, St. Petersburg. Free.


Go skateboarding day: Get a free skate session, music, raffles and food at 4 p.m. today at Largo Skate Park, 400 Highland Ave. NE, Largo. (727) 518-3016;

Be a hockey player for a day: Kids ages 4-17 get a free roller hockey clinic with age-appropriate groups rwunning drills and playing mini-games. Bring a hockey or bicycle helmet at 6 p.m. at USA Skateplex, 5313 E Busch Blvd., Temple Terrace. Free. (813) 989-2100.


SERIES PREMIERE, Combat Hospital, 10 p.m., ABC: Elias Koteas stars in a drama about a NATO hospital in Afghanistan. It's led by Canadians, so at least you know the triage is very friendly and polite.

SERIES PREMIERE, 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show, 9 p.m., ABC: The hook of this new game show is that the losers are shot out of cannons, pulled away by speedboats or strapped to airplanes.

SEASON PREMIERE, Hardcore Pawn, 9 p.m., TruTV: We head back to Detroit, where pawnshops are perhaps the strongest component of the local economy.
