Cirque du Soleil: Alegria: With dreamy sets and costumes and mind-blowing contortionists, it's a bit trippy, typical for a Cirque show. It opens at 7:30 tonight, with shows through Sunday at the St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. $32-$79. (813) 301-2500.

Millennium Dancesport Championships: The live ballroom competition continues today with professionals leading their amateur students during the day (9 a.m.-5 p.m.), while professional couples and daytime finalists take to the floor in the evening starting at 8 p.m. They're all just hoping to meet Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff when she judges this weekend at the Marriott Tampa Waterside, 700 S Florida Ave., Tampa. Test-drive a BMW for a good cause: For every test drive of its new convertible, the car company will donate $10 to Team USA to help athletes train for the Olympic and Paralympic games.
