Things to do in Tampa Bay for March 24

Honda Grand Prix: Today's activities include an IZOD IndyCar Series Practice, Acura Sports Car Challenge and Ferrari, USF2000, Star Mazda and Firestone Indy Lights races starting at 10 a.m. in downtown St. Petersburg. $20-$125. (877) 283-5385. Look for Jannus Live to turn its courtyard into an Indy Lounge, an upscale South Beach-style spot with chic outdoor furniture. Ticket includes dinner, fashion show by Laura Hunt and a DJ. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is at 7, fashion show at 9 at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg. $50.

Hyde Park Village Art Festival: Juried outdoor art showcase featuring more than 100 artists showing works in a variety of media including paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry and more at 10 a.m. at Hyde Park Village in Tampa. Free.

Lightning Concert Series with Coolio: The old-school rapper performs a post-game concert on the plaza directly following the game, which starts at 7 p.m. at Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa. Free. (813) 301-2500.

SBTRKT: The British DJ-producer (pronounced "subtract") works anonymously, wearing a native tribal mask during shows. Listen for moody songs like Trials of the Past or Never Never at 8 p.m. at the Orpheum, 1915 E Seventh Ave., in Ybor City. $16 advance, $20 at the door. (813) 248-9500.

Tampa Bay Seafood Festival: Seafood and live music by "The Sauce Boss" Bill Wharton and more. There's also an interactive Road to London Fan Zone with meet and greets with Olympic and Paralympic athletes and Team USA giveaways. It's at 10 a.m. at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa. Free.

Fossil Fest: Tampa Bay Fossil Club's annual show displays fossils and artifacts from prehistoric Florida. There are also fossil vendors and a kids' fossil pit activity at 9 a.m. at Florida State Fairgrounds Events Center, 4802 N U.S. 301, Tampa. $6, 12 and younger free. (813) 909-9358.
