Things to do in Tampa Bay for Oct. 24

Upper Tampa Bay Oktoberfest: What would Oktoberfest be without waitress racing, beer barrel rolling and keg hurling? Those and other events keep fans coming to this event, now in its 15th year at Tampa Bay Downs racetrack. Entrance is $5; military families and kids 12 and younger are free. It's noon to 7 p.m. today and you can get an all-you-can-ride wristband at 11225 Racetrack Road, Tampa. (813) 855-4233.

Guppyween: Kids won't have to fish too much for their Halloween candy at this party at the Florida Aquarium. Kids in costume get in for $2 (limit four children per adult at this price). Those 12 and older are $12. It's 4 to 8 p.m. at 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa. (813) 273-4000. www.flaquarium.org.

Sublime with Rome: The Monday show is sold out, but there are still tickets for today's show with the original members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson teaming up with Rome to perform Sublime staples as well as new tunes. Tickets are $40 at door at 7 p.m. at Jannus Live, 16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg.
