Things to do in Tampa Bay for Sept. 30

Shrimp boil at the Florida Aquarium: This seems so wrong, but the sea creatures who survive this night benefit. The Kiwanis Club of Mid-Town Tampa is having its 27th annual shrimp dinner at the aquarium to benefit the children's educational program there. Get all-you-can-eat shrimp and fixings starting at 7 p.m. at 701 Channelside Drive, Tampa. $40 adults; $10 ages 4-12; 3 and under free. (813) 221-7575;

Madea's Big Happy Family: Expect a big, appreciative crowd when Tyler Perry brings his stage show to the USF Sun Dome at 7:30 p.m. The show is part standup comedy, church revival and melodrama. $65.75-$76. (813) 974-3002.

Curtain Call Event: Theater lovers get a lively sneak peek at the upcoming season at Mahaffey Theater, with live performances throughout the theater, food and beverages and door prizes. It's free at 6 p.m. at the theater, 400 First St. S, St. Petersburg;

Alex Reymundo: The "Hick-Spanic" from the Original Latin Kings of Comedy tour performs at 8 p.m. today and Friday at the Improv Comedy Theater, 1600 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $15. (813) 864-4000;

Date night

Five for Five at Five: Wine lovers can support the "Help Put Salad Bars in Schools" fund drive with tasting of top-rated wines. It's 5 p.m. at Whole Foods Market, 1548 N Dale Mabry, Tampa. $5. (813) 874-9435;

$#*! My Dad Says, 8:30 p.m., CBS: Dad refuses to allow a WiFi connection in the house. But then how will he update his Twitter feed?

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 10 p.m., FX: The gang buys a boat, which is sure to cause some high jinks. They'd be much better off buying one of those refurbished "duck" landing crafts that give tours of Old City and then drive into the Delaware River.

SEASON FINALE, You're Wearing That?!?, 10 p.m., WEtv: A mother and daughter try to move on after the family patriarch dies. Plaids really don't say mourning, anyway.

Scary but true: Halloween events are already starting. Find a list under Quick Links at
