Chocolate Nutcracker: This urban take on the Tchaikovsky classic starts in Harlem and swings around the world with jazz and funk. Santa Speedo Run: Strip down to your tiny suit (no thongs, please!) for this 1-mile run at 4 p.m. Saturday at Clymer Park in Gulfport. Benefits AIDS Service Association of Pinellas and the Brighter Seasons for Children program. $20. (727) 328-3260.

Kids and Family

Parades by land and sea: There are street parades Saturday in Tarpon Springs (10 a.m.) and Safety Harbor (1 p.m.). Lighted boats cruise the waters around Madeira Beach (6:30 p.m. Saturday), Indian Rocks Beach (7 p.m. Saturday) and Redington Beach/Indian Shores (6 p.m. Sunday). All are free.
