Things to do in Tampa Bay for the week of Feb. 7

Young Frankenstein: Bay area audiences get their first chance to see Mel Brooks' musical adaptation of his 1974 classic movie when it comes to Clearwater. It opens at 8 p.m. Tuesday and runs through Sunday at Ruth Eckerd Hall. $42-$72. (727) 791-7400.

Krewe of Sant'Yago Knight Parade: In case you're running low on beads, the annual bacchanal rumbles through Ybor City with more than 100 illuminated floats and marching bands starting at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tends to get more than a little PG-13. Free.

Happy Birthday Abraham Lincoln: In honor of our 16th president's birthday, the Tampa Bay History Center has dropped its admission to $5 on Saturday. The center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa, opens at 10 a.m.

Kids and Family

DinoQuest: Come face-to-face with lifelike towering dinosaurs that move, blink and roar. One even spits water. The outdoor exhibit opens Wednesday at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa and requires a $4 attraction fee in addition to admission: $23.95, $21.95 seniors, $18.95 ages 3-11, 2 and younger free. An after-dark version, DinoNites, runs 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday for a lesser admission fee, $9.95. (813) 935-8552.

Florida State Fair: Fried mashed potatoes and gravy — on a stick. Maple-bacon cupcake. Yep, the fair opens at 10 a.m. Thursday and runs through Feb. 21 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Date Night

Music: The folky Indigo Girls are back in the bay area at 9 p.m. Thursday at Ritz Ybor ($32, (813) 247-2555); Glen Phillips, former front man for Toad the Wet Sprocket, gives an intimate concert at Hideaway Cafe in St. Petersburg at 8 p.m. Friday ($30-$35, (727) 644-7895); Dark Star Orchestra raises its Grateful Dead show at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Straz ($29.50-$39.50, (813) 229-7827); and at 8 p.m. Friday is the Pink Floyd Experience complete with light show at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg ($34-$54, (727) 892-5798).
