Things to do in Tampa Bay for the week of July 26

Tons of music: Claymates will be in the house at 7 tonight for the Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard Idol-fest at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater ($35-$65; (727) 791-7400). Tough choices on Wednesday, with '80s staples Crowded House at 8 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall ($39.50-$69.50; (727) 791-7400) and the Fixx at 7:30 p.m. at Largo Cultural Center ($25 advance, $30 day of show). But wait, there's also raspy firebrand Melissa Etheridge at 8 p.m. at the Straz Center in Tampa ($38.50-$103.50; (813) 229-7827) and the Dave Matthews Band at 7 p.m. at the 1-800-ASK-GARY Amphitheatre ($40-$75; (813) 740-2446). Then on Friday, former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant takes the stage at 8 p.m. at Ruth Eckerd Hall ($49.50-$99.50; (727) 791-7400), and Rihanna, with Ke$sha, hits the Gary at 7:30 p.m. ($19.75-$89.75; (813) 740-2446).

Kids and family

Buccaneers Training Camp: Watch the team practice at One Buc Place in Tampa, perhaps get an autograph or two, and keep an eye out for cheerleaders. Camp, which is Saturday through Aug. 7, is free, but you must sign up to receive (up to) six tickets per practice at buccaneers.com. (813) 879-2827.

Nickelodeon presents 'Storytime Live': Come on, vamonos! Everybody let's go to the Straz Center in Tampa to see a show with Dora the Explorer, the Backyardagains, the Wonder Pets and Ni Hao, Kai-lan. Six shows Saturday and Sunday. $15.25-$38.25. (813) 229-7827.

Date night
