Things to do in Tampa Bay for the week of June 20

Acrobatic dream­scape: Cirque du Soleil: Alegria is a dreamlike show featuring a dramatic mix of circus arts and acrobatics. It runs Wednesday through Sunday at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa. $32-$79. (813) 301-2500.

Dance stars: The Millennium Dancesport Championships come to Tampa Tuesday through Saturday. Dancing With the Stars pro and ex-Playboy model Karina Smirnoff will guest judge Friday and Saturday as more than 1,700 dancers compete in a live ballroom competition. Pottermore.com: Is there a spell to reveal secrets? Then maybe we could figure out this mysterious new website launched by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Is it a social site? A game? All will be revealed Thursday.

Pride on parade: On Saturday, St. Petersburg will put on one of the biggest gay pride parades in the country as more than 100 floats join the St. Pete Pride Promenade Parade and Street Festival. It moves down Central Avenue at 9 a.m. and stops at 21st Street for a lively street festival.

Date night

Singin' in the Rain: The Capitol Theatre in Clearwater will show just about the best movie musical of all time at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor hoof it like masters; $6.

Concerts: Grunge-punk's Everclear plays at the Hard Rock Cafe Thursday in Tampa ($28), pop punk's Yellowcard and alt rock's Good Charlotte play Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Friday ($20.50-$25.50) and Will Smith's bud DJ Jazzy Jeff will be at the Venue in St. Petersburg on Friday ($15-$20).

On stage: FreeFall Theatre in St. Petersburg opens Man of La Mancha for a preview Thursday ($20) with Don Quixote tilting at windmills in an unusual staging that blurs the line between stage and audience. It opens Friday ($32-$47) through July 17. (727) 498-5205.

Funny guys: Veteran comic Louie Anderson will be at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater on Friday ($30 and $42) and Big Momma's House star Martin Lawrence will be at the Straz Center in Tampa on Friday ($39.50-$119.50).

Summer Safari Night at the Zoo On Friday, the Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo offers free rides after 5 p.m. and special animal encounters. It's included with zoo admission, $23.95 adults, $18.95 kids.
