Things to do in Tampa Bay for the week of March 14

Pi Day: Today is 3/14, perfect for celebrating pi, that mathematical constant roughly expressed as 3.14. The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg — Salvador Dalí loved pi — is offering discounts today: Kids 6-12 get in for $3.14 and adults can download a coupon for $3.14 off admission (which makes it $17.86). Go to In Tampa at the Museum of Science and Industry, take the Pi Day challenge, and solve a series of logic-based puzzles to get into the museum for free. Excludes special engagement exhibition and films.

St. Patrick's Day: The holiday is Thursday, but as luck would have it, some places are stretching the party through the weekend. For a list, go to tampa Oh, and don't be alarmed when the Garrison Channel in Tampa turns green about 6 p.m. Thursday. It's an environmentally friendly dye.

Abilities Wine Festival: St. Petersburg's Tropicana Field will be filled with signature dishes from more than 30 Tampa Bay restaurants and more than 400 wines, plus beer, at the huge annual festival to benefit Abilities Foundation, which helps those with disabilities find jobs and housing. Tickets are $50-$100 advance, $85-$175 at the door Saturday. (727) 538-7370, ext. 345.

Date Night

Kenny Chesney: Expect a spectacle of volume and swagger when this mega country star packs Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Saturday. The show, with Zac Brown Band and others, starts at 4:30 p.m. $24-$250. (813) 350-6500.

On Stage: FreeFall Theatre's new production, Miss Julie, covers all the bases: sex, power, class. Preview is 7 p.m. Thursday ($20-$25), with opening Friday ($32-$47) at 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg; (727) 498-5205. Here for a quick stop is the Tony award-winning Spring Awakening, a poignant romp from adolescence to adulthood set to a frenetic rock score by Duncan Sheik. Shows are 8 p.m. Friday and 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. $28-$70. (727) 791-7400.

Kids and Family

Chalk Walk Festival: Friday through Sunday in Old Hyde Park Village in South Tampa, some 60 sidewalk artists will chalk up their creations in squares. Food and entertainment, too. Free.

Wizard of Oz: Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg to join Dorothy, Toto and the gang for a classic come to life on stage. Show is 8 p.m. Friday. $42-$62. (727) 892-5798.
