Things to do in Tampa Bay Nov. 23

Get Roasted: Kick off the holiday season with the beautiful people and 13 Ugly Men who throw this annual bash for charity at 8 p.m. at Jackson's Bistro Restaurant, 601 S Harbour Island Blvd., Tampa. $10 women, $15 men, $20 VIP.

Pierce the Veil: The post-hardcore rockers covered Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are and injected it with experimental rock for the recently released Pop Goes Punk 4 album. See them at 5:30 p.m. at State Theatre in St. Petersburg. $14.

GWAR: The raunchy rockers suffered the recent death of their guitar player, but the gore must go on. Playing with Every Time I Die and Warbeast at 7 p.m. at Green Iguana, 2520 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa. $10.

Tur-Drunken Concert: Bookending Thanksgiving this year are a pair of "Tur-Drunken" concerts featuring local bands. The first one is tonight with Sons of Hippies, Florida Night Heat and the Liquid Jesus DJs at 8 p.m. at Crowbar, 1812 N 17th St., Tampa. The second one is Friday. $7 for one night, $10 for both. Sunbears!: The indie psychedelic pop duo hailing from Jacksonville will be on stage at midnight at New World Brewery, 1313 E Eighth Ave., Tampa. $9.

Gobble Bash: The Marines will be at the door collecting gifts and available for pictures on the red carpet at Mangroves Seafood Grille and Bar, 208 S Howard Ave., Tampa. It starts at 8 p.m. and entry is $10 or an unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots.


Mobbed, 9 p.m., Fox Howie Mandel has another installment of this special, which is kind of like Candid Camera, if there was only one joke that a lot of people were in on.

Top Chef: Texas, 10 p.m., Bravo It's Texas, in case you haven't been beaten over the head with that enough yet, but instead of dealing with snakes, the chefs must cook with chili peppers.
