Things to do in Tampa Bay on April 20

Food Inc.: Cafe Bohemia will show a free screening of this documentary about a range of food issues, from corn syrup to food-borne illnesses. It starts at 7 p.m. at 937 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg.

Sick Puppies: The Aussie alterna-rock band plays with Not Tonight Josephine at 7:30 p.m. at Bourbon Street, 4331 U.S. 19, New Port Richey. $15-$18. (727) 843-0686.

Love Letters: Shari Mezrah and Scott Shimberg present a fundraising reading of the A.R. Gurney play about a couple who lead separate lives. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Shimberg Theater at the Straz Center in Tampa. The $50-$1,000 tickets benefit the Stageworks Building Fund. (813) 784-6832

Rising Stars of the Bolshoi Theater: The Bolshoi's "Opera Piccola" presents three of the company's top young vocalists at this 7:30 p.m. show at the Palladium Theater, 253 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg. $15.

Burma VJ: Reporting From a Closed Country, 9:30 p.m., HBO: Anders Ostergaard's Academy Award-nominated documentary about journalists coping with a 40-year military regime that wants to stop everything they do.

9 by Design, 10 p.m., Bravo: A five-story, 8,000-square-foot Manhattan home is built on the site of a former sex shop. Imagine the site cleanup in this episode.
