Carmen Ciricillo: This Florida comic was all over CNN last week, but not for his act, but for the hilarious Thanksgiving grease fire that took off on YouTube. Hanukkah: Straub Park in St. Petersburg will celebrate Hanukkah with live music, hot latkes and a giant menorah filled with donated toys at 5:30 p.m. at Fifth Avenue NE and Bayshore Drive. From 4 to 6 p.m. at Tampa's Plant Park, 201 W Kennedy Blvd., there will be a giant menorah, latkes and treats.

Prohibition parties: Dec. 5 is a special day in the hearts of lushes everywhere. It's the day in 1933 that Prohibition was repealed, so the Don Vicente De Ybor Historic Inn in Ybor City and Ciro's Speakeasy in Tampa are planning parties Sunday. At Don Vincente's, 1915 Republic de Cuba Ave., it's $20 for entry and one drink, $40 for an open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight.
