Coming up

Boyd Hill Night Hike A walk in the woods is made bearable on Tuesday by waiting until the sun goes down (and as Tropical Storm Fay cooperates). Bring a flashlight and bug spray, and enjoy a guided hike to observe nocturnal creatures in the nature preserve at 1101 Country Club Way S in St. Petersburg. It starts at 8. Space is limited, so reserve a spot by calling (727) 893-7326. It's $3 adults, and $1.50 ages 3-17.

Mamma Mia! This road company may not have Meryl Streep or Pierce Brosnan, but it does have ABBA music. My, my, how can we resist you? The show opens Tuesday and runs through Aug. 24 at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. $42-$80. (813) 229-7827, toll-free 1-800-955-1045;
