Art critiques Studio 1212 is one of those grass-roots places that makes things interesting around here, including a critiquing session on the third Tuesday of the month (that's tomorrow) that is open to the public. Its mission has remained as unchanged as its name: to provide a studio and display area for its members — all painters — and limited to 30 women. Studio 1212 is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Work by the artists is on display, along with Shooz — an assemblage of footwear painted by some of the members for a fundraiser. Shooz will be auctioned on June 1 at an open house.
