The Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt! This show is not for wallflowers. The group, which originated as a New York theater project, offers a quirkily interactive music and dance experience with lots of lights, bags of costumes and even light sabers. Biggest Loser casting call: The weight-loss show will have a casting call at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you know someone with at least 100 pounds to lose and an outgoing personality, get details on the tryout at thebiggestloser casting.com.

Children's Festival: The USF College of Education is focusing on baby Bulls with lots of hands-on learning activities and games for ages 3-13. The Laptop Lounge also will be open with learning games about geography, typing and music. It's free from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in EDU105 on campus at 4202 E Fowler Ave. in Tampa.

Flan Fest: This event was canceled last week because of nasty weather, but no matter. You have another chance to enter your best flan recipe to win cash prizes. Also, warm up your taste buds for a flan-eating contest, flan sampling and ethnic foods for sale. It's 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Centennial Park, 1800 E Eighth Ave., Ybor City. Florida Strawberry Festival: In addition to shortcake, there's lots of music today in Plant City. Suite Caroline (1 p.m.) is giving a free show, then it's Switchfoot ($15-$20) at 3:30 p.m. and contemporary Christian artist Michael W. Smith ($15-$20) at 7:30 p.m. Festival admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Ride wristbands run from $17 to $25, depending on the day. See flstrawberry festival.com

The Jade Buddha for Universal Peace: Harmony, here we come. A 10-foot tall, 4-ton sculpture of rare, translucent jade carved in the shape of the Buddha is said to bring harmony. The statue will be unveiled at 11 a.m. today in Town 'N Country at the Minh Dang Quang Monestary, 5607 Town 'N Country Blvd. and will be on display through March 14. The public is invited to the celebration, which begins each day at 5 a.m. and ends most nights at 10:30 p.m. Free vegetarian meals will be served throughout the day. See phapvienminh dangquang.com.

Florida Brewers Guild Beerfest 2010: More than 100 Florida craft beers will be featured at this event, which has sold out the past three years. There will be unlimited beer tasting with your FBG glass. It's 2 to 6 p.m. at Centro Ybor, Seventh Avenue at 16th Street. Admission is $30. See floridabrewersguild.org

Abilities Wine Tasting and Silent Auction: One of the biggest wine and food events of the year starts 6 p.m. at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
