What to do today

Blue Oyster Cult: The group that put Tampa Bay's favorite noisemaker on the map, Blue Oyster Cult, is going to be rocking the Venue theater at the UCF Arena in Orlando tonight. So don't fear the reaper, or the traffic, and zip on over to catch these percussive pioneers in person. 7:30 p.m. 50 N Gemini Blvd., Orlando. $35.00-$59.50.

USF Bulls vs. Pittsburgh Panthers: The Rays aren't the only hot ticket in town. After the afternoon baseball game, head over to RayJay to catch the No. 10 Bulls in their Big East opener. One ESPN commentator recently suggested they have a chance to run the table. But first they'll have to get past the Panthers. Tickets $34 and up. Raymond James Stadium, Tampa.

Vice Presidential debate: Just as watching a bitter football rivalry is more fun at a sports bar, get off your couch tonight and head down to the Beach Theatre in St. Pete Beach to catch the candidates on the big screen. 9 p.m. 315 Corey Ave., St. Pete Beach.

Got Milk? Halloween Tour: The tour makes its only Florida stop at Haslam's Books today. Visitors can get their picture snapped with a chocolate milk mustache, enjoy a "spook-tacular" story read by young adult science-fiction author Tracy Akers and sample milk from local processors. 3:30 p.m. 2025 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.
