To do today
Bruce Springsteen The Boss and the E Street Band play tonight at the St. Pete Times Forum, the group’s first outing since the death last week of Danny Federici, the keyboardist who shaped many of the band’s melodies such as the organ solo on Hungry Heart. The show, which was originally slated for Monday, is at 7:30 p.m. St. Pete Times Forum, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa. $68-$98. (813) 301-2500.
Panic at the Disco The energetic emo band should make the venerable Ruth Eckerd Hall shake its velvet tassels tonight when it brings the stuff from its new album, Pretty. Odd., which is a little like Sgt. Pepper's on Red Bull. They play with Motion City Soundtrack, the Hush Sound and Phantom Planet at 7 tonight at Ruth Eckerd Hall, 1111 N McMullen-Booth Road, Clearwater. $35. (727) 791-7400.
Earth Day Have you sent Mother Earth a card yet? Today's the day. The Humane Society of the United States is urging a season of backyard wildlife awareness that ranges from clean it up (that includes nearby streams and ponds) to check it out: Walk your yard and look carefully for rabbits' nests before mowing in the spring — the nests can be hard to see. The mother rabbit digs a shallow hole in the grass and puts her babies in it, where they stay for three weeks until weaned and self-sufficient.
"Green" vodka Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant will host an Earth Day celebration to introduce 360 Vodka, an eco-luxury vodka. The event will raise funds to protect Tampa Bay's environmentally sensitive properties from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1502 S Howard Ave., Tampa; $20. Visit greentampabay.com.

Jake Shimabukuro He rocks a ukulele. In fact, some call him the Hendrix or Page of his craft. Shimabukuro caught the attention of Jimmy Buffett and will open a few of his concerts in the coming months. He plays the Skipperdome tonight with Futureman at 8. Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, Tampa. $12-$15. (813) 971-0666.
Equal Pay Day April 22 signifies something besides Earth Day. It takes a woman exactly this long into a second working year to earn the same amount of money as a man does in one year. For that reason, women (and men) will gather for Equal Pay Day at the Rare Olive, 300 Central Ave. in St. Pete, for an "Unhappy Hour" from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wines from woman-owned vineyards will be available for tasting, and Rare Olive owner Becky Baxter will donate 77 cents from each glass of those wines purchased to the Red Purse Society, dedicated to pay equity. For more, visit bpwstpetepinellas.org/equalpayday.html.
