Tampa Bay Rays The Chicago Cubs, with the best record in baseball, come to town for three games beginning tonight at 7:10. Could this be the start of the Rays' heartbreak or the start of something big? Eddie Izzard The actor-comedian has two sold-out shows tonight and Wednesday at 8 at the Tampa Theatre, 711 N Franklin St., but tickets are occasionally released at the last minute. Check for availability.

Boyd Hill Night Hike Grab a flashlight and check out the nightlife at this nature preserve that borders the shores of Lake Maggiore in St. Petersburg. It starts at 8 p.m., but call ahead at (727) 893-7326 to reserve a spot. Price: $3 adults, $1.50 ages 3-17.

True Colors Tour The tour de fabulous lands at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Wednesday with Rosie O'Donnell and Queer Eye's Carson Kressley as the comic relief and Cyndi Lauper, the B-52's, Deborah Cox and the Cliks rocking tolerance hard. Frog Hop No, it's not the latest dance craze. This night of learning Wednesday at the Environmental Education Center at Brooker Creek Preserve will teach you to identify frogs from their "songs." There will be a brief indoor presentation followed by some time outside to practice your newfound skills at frog pickup lines.
