Treat the kids to free or cheap summer movies

Every summer, parents hear the same cry from their kids: "I'm bored. Can't we do something?" And every summer, movie theaters come to the rescue with free or cheap kid-friendly movies. The movies start at 10 a.m. each week with doors opening 30 minutes to an hour before the show. Go as early as you can because theaters fill up fast. And while the movie is free or cheap, refreshments are extra. Here's a quick rundown of what films will be featured next week. Go to tampabay.com/things-to-do and search for "free family films" to find upcoming movies. Times staff writer
