Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Zing Zang Zoom: Watch where you step today, the circus is in town. To kick of the festivities for this weekend's performances at the St. Pete Times Forum, Ringling Bros. is putting their elephants on parade on the streets of Tampa today. They will unload at the railroad tracks at the corner of Nuccio Parkway and N Nebraska Avenue, next to Union Station. They will walk west on Cass Street, turn south on Morgan, east on Channelside Drive in front of the Forum, turn south on St. Pete Times Forum Road, and parade around the back of the arena to the Animal Open House. Performances of the 139th Greatest Show On Earth run Thur.-Sun. Tickets are $15-$85.

Epiphany Cross Diving Ceremony and Festival: One of Tampa Bay's most popular traditions, the cross diving commemorates the baptism of Christ in the River Jordan, and is a sacred holiday in the Greek Orthodox church. The ceremony begins after church services, about noon Tuesday, on Spring Bayou, 348 N Pinellas Ave. Festival follows with Greek food, dancing and music at Craig Park.

Cigar City Tattoo Convention: Not just ink and needles, this convention brings together art, music and film for a weekend-long celebration and examination of the body-modification tradition. Thur.-Sun. Cuban Club, 2010 Ave. Republica De Cuba N, Tampa. $15 per day, $35 for the weekend. (813) 248-2954.
