When the Zac Brown Band was left off of Kenny Chesney's upcoming stadium tour stop in Tampa, we figured that meant they were planning a headlining show here this spring.
Turns out we were right. The Grammy-winning country jam band has booked a show at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre on Feb. 22. Blackberry Smoke and Levi Lowrey will open the show. Tickets are $31.50-$67.50, and they go on sale Friday.
Zac and company always bring the party, and last year's Tampa gig sold out, so get your tickets early.
This is sure to be only the latest fun, free-wheelin' Florida show for one of the best live bands in country music. A show on Gasparilla night in Tampa? Whee! A headlining slot at the DeLuna Music Festival in Pensacola? Yippee! A private show for a consortium of oil companies at the Port of Tampa during the Republican National Convention? Um ... sure, why not?
