With spring here, you might be shopping for a new bathing suit. But no matter how much you spend, no suit will make your rear view any better if you don't do your part.
There is only one way to tighten up that derriere and that is exercise. Even though most folks don't have buns of steel, this is a body part that will firm up with a few simple exercises. Do these five exercises three or four times a week for a month and you will feel — and see — the results.
Actually, we're talking about three muscles — the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. This major muscle group plays an integral part in all athletic activities, including running, jumping and biking.
And you thought your butt was just for sitting.
Caution: While the following exercises may make your butt muscles firmer and perhaps even larger in size, you won't see much of a change if your muscles are covered by too much fat. The only way to slim down is through diet and regular, sustained cardiovascular exercise.
