You Asked For It: Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

I would like the creamy garlic ranch dressing from Harold Seltzer's restaurant. Thank you.

Jennie Miller of Palm Harbor found this creamy garlic dressing recipe on the Internet about five years ago and has been making it regularly ever since. While the recipe says to refrigerate for 1 hour before serving, for best flavor, Jennie recommends 3 to 4 hours to overnight to allow the flavors to meld. The cloves on my head of garlic were on the small side so I used 4 and that gave it a good punch. You can adjust the garlic to your tastes.

Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream

½ cup mayonnaise

cup buttermilk

2 teaspoons sugar

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon salt

teaspoon pepper

In a small bowl, whisk the sour cream, mayonnaise, buttermilk and sugar. Stir in the parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Makes 1 ½ cups.
