You Asked For It: Kentucky Fried Chicken Coleslaw

My friends and family all enjoy the coleslaw from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Can you find the recipe? — Blanche Patterson, New Port Richey

This is a popular recipe among readers. Denise Young of Brooksville makes this for family gatherings, while Alice Carter of Seminole uses bagged slaw mix, which I did, too. One bag of slaw is approximately 7 1/2 cups. Betty Sileo of Seminole found the recipe on the Top Secret Recipe website (topsecretrecipes.com). Tampa resident Kathleen Kirk has the Top Secret Recipes cookbook, which includes the recipe. Other readers who also shared the recipe are Oldsmar residents Joan Burger and Patricia Lacourse, Pat Koster of Largo, Vera Baker of Sun City Center and Marjorie Dahl of St. Petersburg.

A wire whisk works well for combining the dressing ingredients. It is important to refrigerate this for the recommended time or even overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
