The iPad menu ordering system now used at Carmel Cafe in Tampa is expanding to other Tampa area restaurants.
MenuPad, an interactive menu solutions company based in Tampa, said this week it is introducing the system at Ciccio Cali, Lee Roy Selmon's, Catch Twenty-Three and Miguel's Mexican Seafood & Grill. It also has signed on Blackfinn Ameripub in Charlotte, N.C., and HMS Host, which offers the ordering system at Chili's Bar & Grill in Tampa International Airport's Terminal F.
MenuPad is owned by Outback Steakhouse co-founder Chris Sullivan, who is a founding partner of Carmel Cafe, where the iPad menus were launched in Clearwater in 2011. He is also an owner in Lee Roy Selmon's.
The system allows diners to order food and beverages through an iPad, speeding up the ordering process and offering more convenience. MenuPad officials say the system improves efficiency at restaurants and reduces labor costs.
