Some folks might be surprised to see celebrity chef Robert Irvine back in these parts after a resume padding scandal unraveled his career here in 2008. Irvine had a Food Network show, was hawking wares on HSN and planned to open a restaurant on St. Petersburg's Beach Drive when it came to light that his culinary past was not as glorious as he claimed. He was dropped from the network and HSN parted ways. The restaurant was scuttled too. After a sufficient time out, he's back on Food Network and has opened a restaurant in Hilton Head, S.C. At 8 p.m. April 13, Irvine brings his Dinner: Impossible Live tour to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. Call (727) 791-7400 for tickets, which run from $29.50 to $150 and go on sale Saturday. No hard feelings, eh?
