Tijuana Flats is opening two locations in Tampa: one in its former spot along Platt Street, the other across from Britton Plaza on S Dale Mabry Highway.
The first will open in October at 1617 W Platt St., where the chain had a franchised location before it closed three years ago and became a burger restaurant.
The second Tijuana Flats will open early next year at 4055 S Dale Mabry Highway in the former Pizza Hut space. The Tex-Mex chain is also set to open a location at 13100 Seminole Blvd., Suite 105, in Largo at the end of the year.
Based outside of Orlando, Tijuana Flats has 103 stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Indiana, including 19 in the Tampa Bay area.
